Northeastern Tennessee Project: Spectra Energy

This project required some creative solutions due to the extreme conditions. Steep slopes, rocky terrain, narrow roads and rolling hills all combined to make this a very challenging project. Some areas required heavy logging, and access roads had to be constructed in and over parts of very mountainous geography.

It also included some intensive matting through wetland areas, as well as unique creek crossings requiring special matting processes that ensured that there would be no debris released into the creeks, per the permit requirements.

Airhorns and spotters were used on a daily basis to ensure protection from falling rocks and logs. The project was completed approximately one week ahead of schedule.
