SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

At Northern Clearing, we take safety seriously. Our employees receive specific safety training throughout our various divisions; whether it’s as operators in the gas and oil industry, utility Right of Way Clearing, or Vegetation Management. Our employees also receive on-going training from Electrical Hazard Awareness, Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Management, OSHA Certifications, Aerial Lift/Fall Protection Safety and First Aid/CPR, among others.

We continually monitor our programs in real-time through the efforts of our certified safety personnel. All safety efforts are well documented during daily jobsite meetings conducted by each crew leader. During these safety inspections, hazards are identified and discussed with all crew members in the form of daily Job Safety Analyses.

We carefully evaluate historical data and case studies as well as the root causes for potential hazards in order to identify areas in our programs that need improvement. Analysis of specific data allows us to be more proactive and find safer, more efficient ways to get things done.

Our Safety Policies

Each employee and supervisor is held accountable for safety. Disciplinary procedures exist when any employee is acting in an unsafe matter and this behavior is corrected immediately. Each employee understands that working safe is a condition of employment.

THE PRINCIPLES WE SUBSCRIBE TO:

  • Accidents are preventable through implementation of effective safety and health control policies and programs.
  • All personnel are responsible for recognizing unsafe conditions and are authorized and empowered to take the necessary steps to prevent injuries to themselves and others up to and including stopping unsafe work.
  • Employees are required to follow safe work practices, company rules, and take the necessary steps to prevent accidents and injuries.

Working safe is a condition of employment.

OUR SAFETY VISION

We take pride in being one of the safest companies in our entire industry today. Our vision is not only to be among the best, but rather be the industry leader. Northwoods Technical College certified instructors implement our extensive training programs for all of our training needs. This allows us to have highly skilled instructors teach our workforce the necessary skills to get their job done safely.
