Richard started at Northern Clearing Inc. in 1982 as a laborer. Working his way up in the company with the guidance of his father (Founder George Vernon) he and his brothers took over operations in 1994. Since then they have successfully grown Northern Clearing Inc. to be one of the largest Right of Way Clearing contractors in the country.
Todd started at Northern Clearing Inc. in 1983 as an operator. Throughout the years he worked his way up in the company with the guidance of his father (Founder George Vernon) then with his brothers they took over operations in 1994. Now as Senior Vice President he and his brothers have successfully grown Northern Clearing Inc. to be one of the largest Right of Way Clearing contractors in the country.
Craig started at Northern Clearing Inc. in 1987 as a fencing laborer in Louisiana. With the guidance of this father (Founder George Vernon) Craig worked his way up through the company. In 1994 Craig and his two brothers took over operations of Northern Clearing Inc. As CFO and Vice President he and his brothers have successfully worked together growing Northern Clearing Inc. to be one of the largest Right of Way Clearing contractors in the country.
Kristie has over 28 years of experience at Northern Clearing Inc. Starting as an Administrative Assistant in 1992, she then moved into Accounts Payable, and for the past 17 years she has held the position of Vice President/Treasurer. Her strong work ethic and family values have provided an invaluable asset here at the corporate office. Kristie has extensive knowledge in all aspects of accounting, making her an excellent team leader for our Accounting Department.
Daniel has over 17 years of experience in project management in the right-of-way industry. His family background in the power line and transmission line industry has provided valuable field experience. Daniel also has extensive knowledge in interacting with environmental agencies, safety professionals, utility representatives, subcontractors, site inspectors, and corporate liaisons. With this experience, he has supervised a number of successful projects for Northern Clearing.
Mitch has over 17 years of experience at Northern Clearing, Inc. He started as a field laborer, then moved up to a Superintendent, and now he works in the position of Vice President. He has an extensive knowledge of the business in both field operations and corporate operations. Mitch is also heavily involved in the company’s’ equipment purchasing and allocation, and serves as the team lead for the Logistics-Equipment department.
Lois has over 36 years of experience at Northern Clearing Inc. She started as a receptionist in 1984, then moved into Accounting and Bidding in 1986, and for the past 31 years she has been our Corporate Secretary, overseeing Northern’s Accounts Receivable and Payroll Departments. With a degree in Business Finance and Accounting and the knowledge she has gained throughout the years, Lois is a strong and educational team leader for our departments at Corporate.
Joseph has over 10 years’ experience overseeing compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations relating to the Environment, Employee Health, Employee Safety, and the Fleet. His previous experience as the asst. EH&S director, and background in law enforcement helps him ensure corporate compliance with environmental health and safety aspects.
James has been with Northern Clearing for over 10 years. He started with the business as a Field Office Manager getting to know the work, processes, and people. He quickly moved into the Safety Field where he worked until being promoted to the Health and Safety Director in 2014 and then the Human Resources Director in 2018. James’ vast experience and knowledge has also made him a great fit as the company’s ISO Management Systems Representative in Quality, Safety, and Environmental over the last 6 years. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, he maintains certification as a Certified Utility Safety Professional, and is a currently certified to instruct OSHA 10 and 30 classes.
